When london chases the wolf,
the wolf comes home to dine,
your small children he'll engulf,
and drink their blood as wine.
The inch high bears will growl
if you walk on black squares,
tip the glass to hear them howl,
or steal it and to be made theirs.
The white rabbit scarlet born
will lure you into a lion's den,
if you remove his paw's thorn
the ruby knight will rise again.
